Drive smarter, pay less: Switch now to our new usage-based casco insurance powered by Cristo and UNIQA
Cristo and UNIQA have joined forces to launch a new, innovative, usage-based casco insurance.
Under the new partnership, UNIQA Liechtenstein will enter the market together with Cristo with a telemetric data based casco insurance that responds to changing car usage and insurance needs. Launched at the beginning of January 2023, the new innovative product was first introduced to the Hungarian insurance market. However, the partners have a joint intention to expand to other European countries in the near future.
Cristo is a car app, available since 2019, that integrates a wide range of services related to driving. Users can pay for parking, tolls and access other services through the app. In addition, a telemetric tool provides feedback on the status of their car and an assessment of their driving habits.
At the end of 2022, Cristo received a digital MGA license to launch its mileage-based casco insurance solution. Under the partnership, Cristo will handle the entire insurance process on behalf of UNIQA, from full administration, customer service, premium collection up to claims settlement.

Driving habits have changed dramatically in recent years, especially since the COVID epidemic. Rising costs, the proliferation of working from home and more conscious mobility have all contributed to the decline in car use. Customers have a legitimate expectation that insurers should offer them solutions adapted to their changing needs.
Both Cristo and UNIQA are committed to use new and innovative technologies. Cristo Casco was developed with the aim of targeting a conscious customer base with above-average risk characteristics. The available telemetric data offers further opportunities to mitigate the risk of claims by assessing driving style and customers education.
