Innovative B2B2C business model

Calingo is a young Swiss digital insurtech developing an innovative B2B2C insurance model with the aim of offering personalized and optimized risk protection to private customers via real estate managers. Founded in 2020 by Anina Lutz, Daniel Litscher, Marlo Hug and Walter Rasa, who previously gained many years of experience in various insurance companies, the insurance start-up is already well recognized with its disruptive business model.

UNIQA Liechtenstein becomes risk carrier

Calingo offers its customers personalized products and a straightforward, completely digital customer experience. The sales launch of the first products, household and personal liability insurance, is already scheduled for the third quarter. On the sales side, a first cooperation was agreed with the property management company Tend AG.  The innovative newcomer Calingo is cooperating with UNIQA Liechtenstein as risk carrier and Swiss Re as reinsurance partner.

"It's always great to learn. And it's especially great to learn from highly motivated people like Anina, Daniel, Marlo and Walter from Calingo. We are very excited to support their start-up together with Swiss Re." Carsten Abraham, CEO UNIQA Liechtenstein

Re-thinking insurance

"Now is the time to revolutionize the insurance market and offer simple transparent products and real convenience to the end customer. We want to create a world where people no longer have to worry about insurance." Anina Lutz, CEO and Co-Founder Calingo

Participation in pre-seed funding round to strengthen partnership

Calingo recently officially closed its pre-seed funding round. The interest on the investor side was remarkable high, so that the maximum investment target was even exceeded with more than CHF 800,000. In addition to private venture investors, the Swiss business angel network Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC) and UNIQA Liechtenstein provided investment funds in the form of convertible loans to further develop the start-up. From the cooperation with Calingo and Swiss Re, UNIQA Liechtenstein hopes for further growth in the area of innovation and digitalization in the future.

"We are enormously grateful for the support we have received in building Calingo. The team is highly motivated and we are working flat out towards start of sales this summer." Daniel Litscher, COO and Co-Founder Calingo
